Thompsons ltd quickly became a highly respected local family firm, trusted to

to their customers - both by direct
retail and also by supplying local specialist firms. With the many changes to
the business over the years those core values remain as true today as they did nearly
50 years ago.
In the
1990’s Car Audio sales boomed and Thompsons ltd opened a second store to
satisfy the demand of this highly specialised market offering sales, fitting
and product support across a broad spectrum of product including alarms,
electronics and stereo systems.
By the dawn
of this century online retail had arrived – by bringing in specialist staff and
utilising the many years of product experience available in house Thompsons ltd
has pushed itself to the forefront of this market - retailing car parts, car
audio and home products online.

The
challenge facing many high street shops and freelance installers is how to
compete with the enormous buying power of the larger online retailers – added
to the fact that many of the wholesalers currently supplying the market have no
retail experience of their own and do not always understand the challenges we
all face in the current market.

clearance deals and product support which is simply not normally available to a

supplying our trade customers in a way that they have a means to operate
effectively in what is a very competitive marketplace.

Business Terms:
Our system
is simple and concise. Our full terms are available on request – we maintain a
web ordering system which with your unique trade account allows you to log in
and have access to product photos, descriptions, trade price and quantity
physically in stock – this allows online ordering and payment processing 24hrs
a day.
We do not
operate credit accounts but offer a competitive pricing structure and FREE
delivery option on all orders over £50. We ask our trade clients to try and
keep orders over £50 wherever possible. If you need to place and order below
£50 in value we ask you to select the Express Delivery option at the checkout
please. Trade orders under £50 that are checked out using the standard delivery
option may be cancelled as non-viable. International Customers: Please note that if you are an international customer we WELCOME your business, and are able to export VAT free on production of a valid EU VAT registration number which we will hold on file. Please also note that our shipping price is for a maximum of 30 Kg of goods. Should you order goods to a weight of more than 30Kg we will contact you to request additional carriage.
