All these are professionally certified CEA2006 amplifiers - this is a
very rare TRUE performance standard that only the best manufacturers
submit to!
CEA2006 is the long-awaited rating standard that makes it easy for
costumers to compare amplifiers. It defines characteristics that
describe the performance of amplifiers designed for mobile applications
and replaces the old standard EIA 517B.
According to the standard some specific ratings must appear on the
package of the amplifier. The CEA-logo then declares that these
specifications are accurate and comparable.
Since the two most fundamental qualities of an amplifier are how loud it
will play and how good it will sound, the two principal ratings,
according to CEA2006, are Output Power and Signal-to-Noise Ratio. These
two quantities are the most significant indicators of an amplifier’s
performance.

| So, foll owing our talks with Pipercross some news articles ago, we now stock ALL Pipercross direct replacement filters. Although at present only the car ones are on the website, Motorcycle riders will have to wait just a few short weeks till we have all the pictures taken (just so you can be sure you get the right one!) because we are good like that! :) so if for instance you have a Lotus Elan and you want a performance direct replacement filter tomorrow, order one with next day delivery and hey presto! (Next day delivery only works Monday - Thursday at present sorry, but if you want a Saturday delivery, get in touch and it can be arranged) | | 12/10/2011: New Clarion Car Audio Range | 
Okay so we have had it for a
couple of weeks now! :) But we are now stocking 2 ranges of clarion speakers.
Some excellent value mid range coaxials and some fantastic and very beautiful
high end component sets! Which, much to my surprise, are also excellent value
and cheaper that their immediate competition by quite a way. You can check out
the Clarion gear here! We are
also stocking new head units, they are absolutely gorgeous! Clarion designers
have been pulling out all the stops this year! Keep up the good work I say!
Were else can you get Titanium impregnated cones!?!? Not even Focal can boast

Thompsons are soon to be stocking the new
VIBE Black Death, Pro Audio inspired competition grade car audio. VIBE
Audio’s BlackDeath range is all about taking things to the extreme and creating
products so crazy they have no right to exist. With insane products like the
Bubonic Subwoofer and the Reaper Amplifier, BlackDeath isn’t just about pushing
the boundaries of audio innovation, it’s about annihilating them... And these
are set to do exactly that!
The co-axial 12" is my favorite, these are becoming common in Pro Audio
but come at an extreme expense on the pocket, whereas these are set to be
priced relatively cheaply in comparison, my only grumble is that none of the
mid/bass have cast baskets?!... Pretty much a given for high end VIBE I
thought, but, there must be reason behind it!

factor, these are obviously aimed at a more refined member of society... One

 Thompsons Ltd are in discussions with Rockford Fosgate about becoming thier main internet dealer. Should this come into effect, it will mean we will be the MAIN internet stockist for Rockford Fosgate, a name synonimous with high quality, high end car audio. Check back for updates... Not that we will be keeping it under our hats if we do end up the main internet dealer! As some of you may know, Thompsons Ltd used to have a very close relationship with American car audio gaints Rockford many years ago, where we used them for competition installs and various other high end applications. In fact we held larger amounts of their high end equipment than any other car audio retailer in the UK. |
