Additionally it seals the magnet into protect it whilst allowing proper heat ventillation.

Amp Requirements:

The Dual 4 Ohm Coils mean the best amp to power one of these beasts is a 2 Ohm Stable MonoBlock
Minimum 600w RMS is advised or you will risk damaging the sub - many people do not realise under powering a speaker will kill it very quickly!
It will run very very happily on 800w RMS and will take up to 1200w RMS without problem.
