A Brief History.

Originally established in the 1960’s as a retailer of Car Parts & Accessories Thompsons ltd quickly became a highly respected local family firm, trusted to deliver value, knowledge  and great service to their customers  - both by direct retail and also by supplying local specialist firms. With the many changes to the business over the years those core values remain as true today as they did nearly 50 years ago.

In the 1990’s Car Audio sales boomed and Thompsons ltd opened a second store to satisfy the demand of this highly specialised market offering sales, fitting and product support across a broad spectrum of products, including alarms, electronics and stereo systems.

By the dawn of this century online retail had arrived – by bringing in specialist staff and utilising the many years of product experience available in house Thompsons ltd has pushed itself to the forefront of this market - retailing car parts, car audio and home products online....

The culmination of which is, this website! Car audio, Car accessories, Home Audio Visual products and various bits and bobs all in one easy to find place. Although the website is live, it will never be finished!! Please do let us know of any improvements you can think of :)
